RF enclosure features
- The enclosures are made of CNC machined aluminum. The housing has dimensional tolerances of better than 0.1 mm.
- All components are nickel plated. This protects the surface of the components, gives the housing a lifespan of many decades and also ensures a low electrical contact resistance between all parts.
- You can power the unit by using a feed-through capacitor.
- There is a turret connector to create a solid ground connection
- The enclosures support 1 to 5 SMA connectors.
- SMA ports that are not used can be covered by SMA cover plates that have exactly the same dimensions as the SMA connector base plates.
- Supports PCB thicknesses between 0 and 1.6 mm (63 mil). This is achieved by a construction that 'suspends' the PCB on mounting stubs.
- PCBs can be populated on both sides (top and bottom)
- Each unit comes with a complete set of screws, connectors and SMA cover plates
- The RF shielding of the enclosure is excellent because it is completely electrically closed.
- You can find some sample PCBs on Github. Use them as a template to get your project started quickly.
